About 1950 a Steam Locomotive pauses before headed South toward Atlanta from Lawrenceville on the Seaboard Airline Railroad.

Built by the Lovelace family, this mill on the Alcovy River near Lawrenceville, GA is now a Gwinnett County Park. Silting and heavy rains have resulted in the failure of portions of the dam in recent years.

Among the signers of the Frontier settlers petitioning the state for protection is Robert Young, my 4x Great Grandfather. He ran a tavern near Flowery Branch, GA and is buried there.
